Mission Motorsport hosts 1st Forces Track Day at Croft Circuit
Mission Motorsport hosts first Forces Track Day at Yorkshire’s Croft Circuit
Event made possible thanks to sponsorship from SSGC
75 Beneficiaries from a variety of service charities enjoy a day of high speed.
Thanks to the generosity of SSGC, long-term supporter and friend of the charity, Mission Motorsport was able to make its aspirations for a track day in the north of England into a reality this week when the team headed up to Croft Circuit for the first Mission Motorsport Forces Track day.
Croft Circuit, a former World War II airbase located in North Yorkshire, boasts one of the longest tracks in the UK at 2.12 miles played host to 75 beneficiaries and their families. With invitations extended to other service charities, beneficiaries from Mission Motorsport were joined by others from Sporting Force, Phoenix House Recovery Centre and the Veterans Hub.
With an eclectic mix of cars, both veterans and WIS serving personnel and their families enjoyed a fantastic day out. Beneficiaires were able to enjoy hide speed passenger rides and when not on track, were able to put their driving skills to the test against the clock in an autotest - a route set out by cones and requiring qick and accurate driving. Children were also able to be a part of the action and drive the dual control ‘Lightening McQueen’.
James Cameron, CEO & Founder of Mission Motorsport said, “We have always wanted to host an event in the North and it is thanks to David Stubbs, the SSGC team and Barc, that we have been able to make that a reality. It’s been a fantastic day and an absolute joy to see beneficiaires and WIS enjoying themselves. We will be back again next year to do it all over again".”
